This is about this boy named kaylis peneha and kaylis is in my class and he got awarded a five-year basketball scholarship at Scots College in Wellington. When kaylis applied Kaylis had to go through a Hard examination process after applying to attend Scots College and then Kaylis got awarded entry on a general scholarship.
Scots College Basketball coach, Kenny McFadden Supported kaylis receiving a general scholarship, recognising his sporting passion and talent.
but then it came to be a great surprise to be offered the Steven Adams scholarship which identifies one student and supports them throughout their college years. The timing is perfect as the inaugural recipient is about to finish year 13 at Scots College, and the scholarship will be passed on to kaylis from next year.
Kaylis has previously attended two Steven Adams training camps, notably New Zealand's highest profile professional basketball to ever play in the professional American Basketball league.
Steven Adams, who now plays his basketball in the USA for the Memphis Grizzlies, attended Scots College and his training camps and scholarships are generous ways of encouraging and supporting aspiring young basketball players hoping to pursue professional careers in basketball.
One of Kaylis basketball coaches Paxman Taurima of Ngati Raukawa Basketball says the Club members are really pleased for Kaylis.
All of us here at Raukawa Basketball are excited for kaylis and the opportunities this scholarship will provide kaylis, says Paxman. On top of being really talented, kaylis is just a really good kid and Kaylis and his Family really do deserve this.
And My Question For Kaylis is are you going to stay at the boarding school or are you going to get dropped off every day.
